How to enrol for online banking
Step 1 - Fill out the form
Please contact our client services department who will send you a digital application form via DocuSign. Please complete the form and return it electronically by working your way through the system.
Step 2 - Contact client services
Once your profile has been created, you will receive an email providing your username. You can then contact our client services team to activate your profile and receive a password reset link. When you have received the password reset email, click on the link inside.
Step 3 - Password reset
Follow the steps on screen to create your password. Please note that the password is case sensitive. Once it has been changed you will see a screen to indicate it has been done successfully.
Step 4 - Enter your login details and one-time passcode
Input your online banking username and password in the boxes provided and select ‘Log in’. Please make sure that caps lock is off when entering your username and password. You will now be asked to enter a one-time passcode. This will be sent to you via SMS to the mobile number we hold for you. If you are unable to receive the code by SMS, you can choose an alternate delivery method from the list on screen. When you receive the code, simply enter it into the box and click 'confirm'.
Step 5 - The next time you log in
You should now see your account dashboard. The next time you log in you can simply enter your username and one-time passcode.
How to navigate the 'Home' screen
The home screen contains a summary of your total assets, including cash and investments for each account. You can change the account that you are currently viewing by clicking the dropdown at the top of the page.
Downloading a valuation
On the left side of the screen your total wealth is displayed and below that you can select a date range from the dropdown to generate a valuation. If you select this option your valuation will appear shortly in the 'Documents' section.
Viewing any liabilities
You can also view any liabilities associated with your account by clicking to the left and right of the wheel or at the top of the page.
Indicative foreign exchange rates
At bottom of the page you can find a visual breakdown the latest indicative foreign exchange rates.
How to navigate the 'Banking' screen
The ‘Banking’ screen will display a list of all the bank accounts and term deposits within your Focus account. Select the account you wish to see from the dropdown options on the left.
To request a statement select the option from the menu to the left, follow the prompts on screen to select a date range. Once generated the statement will appear in the 'Documents' section.
You can make quick domestic and international payments on the left side. using the 'Quick pay' function.
You can also view your cards that you have associated with this account by selecting cards from the menu. Here you can manage your cards and view your PIN code.
How to view your investment portfolio
Viewing your investment portfolio
In the 'Investments' screen you can view the current value of your portfolio and see a breakdown of your assets.
You can generate a valuation under the asset wheel, which will appear in the 'Documents' section.

Viewing your investment performance
If you hold a portfolio managed by NPW, you can view investment performance by clicking on the option in the menu.
Viewing your returns vs the benchmark
Here you can see a graphical representation of your portfolio returns vs the benchmark, and additional information about your investment strategy.
Selecting a date period
You can change the period displayed by selecting from the dropdown at the top.
Generating a valuation
If you wish to generate a valuation select the option from the left and check your 'Documents' section to view it.
How to enrol to the mobile app
Step 1 - Downloading the app
Clients who are already signed up to Online Wealth Services can use our mobile banking app. Visit the App Store for iPhone or Google Play Store to download the app for your device. Search for Nedbank Private Wealth and press install on the correct application.
Step 2 - Activation and our terms and conditions
Open the app from your phone and select activate from the welcome screen. You will be prompted to read and then accept the terms and conditions for our online wealth services. Please read through these carefully and if you agree, click ‘Accept’to continue.
Step 3 - Enter your login details
On the next screen, input your online banking username and password in the boxes provided and select ‘Log in’. These are the same details that you use to log into your account online. If you have forgotten either of these, please contact us.
Step 4 - Enter your one-time passcode
You will now be asked to enter a one-time passcode. This will be sent to you via SMS to the mobile number we hold for you. If you are unable to receive the code by SMS, you can choose an alternate delivery method from the list on screen. When you receive the code, simply enter it into the box and tap 'confirm'.
Step 5 - Create a PIN
Create a five digit PIN code and input it once more to confirm. Next, you will be given the option to enable Touch ID login for the app. Biometric security is one of the best ways to secure access to your accounts.
Step 6 - Confirmation and the next time you log in
You will see a message confirming activation of the app. Press 'Continue to dashboard' to enter the app. The next time you log in you can simply press the log in button and use your thumbprint, or enter your username and one-time passcode.
